Pimm's, Strawberries & Cream and Champagne… that’s all we need to say about Wimbledon week.

If you’re one of the lucky ones with a chance to be court side this year, we’re sure you’ll be sampling one (or more) of the above with thousands of each being sold every year at the proudly British sporting event. If however, you are going to be enjoying some tennis on the TV this summer we have the perfect recipes to bring a bit of the Wimbledon experience to you and combat the summer heat at the same time.

 

 Strawberries and Cream Ice Pops

Strawberries and Cream Ice Pops

Makes 8 

Ingredients

Method

1. Blend two frappe sachets with the milk and cream.

2. Pour the mix into ice pop moulds and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours.

 

Pimm's Ice Pops

Pimm's Ice Pops

Makes 8 

Ingredients

  • 500g strawberries, halved length ways
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 20 thin slices of cucumber
  • 75ml Pimm’s
  • 200ml lemonade
  • 100g golden caster sugar

Method

1. In a jug mix the lemonade, Pimm’s and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

2. In ice pop moulds place the strawberries, cucumber and mint leaves.

3. Pour over the Pimm’s mix and place into the freezer. Freezer for around 6 hours.

 

Champagne Ice Pops

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle of Champagne
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Edible gold glitter 

Method

1. In a jug mix the champagne with the lemon juice.

2. Pour the mixture into the ice pop moulds.

3. Put the moulds into the freezer for a minimum of 6 hours 

4. For an added extra spot of luxury, when you remove the ice pops from the freezer sprinkle with edible gold glitter.
